Support and Treatment for Drug & Alcohol Abuse

The city of Calgary is the centre of Canada’s oil industry and famous for the Calgary Stampede, its massive July rodeo. Drugs are a major problem with lots of oil workers and the party-goers at the Calgary Stampede. Calgary police and Alberta health officials are raising awareness about the growing threat of a dangerous street drug.

Fentanyl — a painkiller 100 times more potent than morphine — was a factor in 29 deaths in Calgary last year.

As Alberta’s petroleum industry moves through a period of unprecedented growth, northern communities are finding themselves increasingly swamped by alcoholism and drug abuse.

Some experts suggest the problem has reached epidemic proportions, forcing police detachments, social services and oil companies to come up with new approaches by using Private Detox, Private Treatment Centers and Drug and Alcohol interventionists.

As a professional Calgary interventionist, Andy Bhatti works with families and people suffering from addiction and provides support for their recovery. He also helps various Celebrities, Professional Athletes and Unions in the oil fields in the Calgary area to help professional people get the help they need.
